How to operate pump using PWM Function with MCU

Found this on the technical specifications:

"Minimum Dispense Volume: 0.5mL if using PWM"

PWM isn't referenced in any of the documentation. How to operate pump using PWM?

It looked like the firmware was keeping track of how long the reset pin was being held down for. Is this the correct input pin, for PWM? I don't want to blow anything up by trying without asking!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The best way to get the lower dispense volume is to reduce the speed of the motor. You can do that by reducing the voltage applied to the motor. The firmware has the PWM capability built it. If you modify the firmware by changing the duty cycle to about 60%, you should be able to get the accuracy you are looking for. If you go too low on the PWM duty cycle though, the motor may have a hard time starting up, so you'll have to manage the balance.

Understood- what PIN do I PWM, or is all the PWM internal to the firmware?

In other words, is the only way to communicate with the pump to dispense by using serial commands? Or is there a specific PIN I can PWM to dispense? If so, what PIN do I PWM?
