How to connect a single bartendro to an arduino uno?

I have a bartendro that I am thinking about using as part of a system to dispense some liquid like soda. I also have an arduino uno and I would like to connect them together. Is there an easy way to do this? I don't care about using the sync pin to vary the color of the LEDs. I just want to vary the flow rate and motor speed of a single bartendro using an arduino.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You should be able to hook up to the Arduino uno with a minimum of 4 pins, 5V, RX, TX and GND. You will also need to supply the motor voltage separately. This should be 24V.

You can then send serial packets to control the volume and speed of a dispense.

As far as dispensing soda though, you will run into problems with the carbonation getting flat as the soda is dispensed. It will also dispense inaccurately because of the varying nature of the CO2 content. The best way to solve this problem is to use liquid soda syrup and carbonated water, mixed at the last second. You'll have to address the carbonated water dispensing with something else like a solenoid valve.

Hi,

Another way of dispensing soda is to make it flat before connecting the soda bottle to the bartendro and after the drink is poured you carbonate it with a Perlini shaker. This make the audience go WOW twice :)
